Tip and Trik Registry ( Part 2 )


1. Disable right click on the Desktop and Windows Explorer


If you enable the setting below then no one can do right click on Desktop and Windows Explorer. In other words the menu that appears when right-clicking does not exist anymore.

Follow the steps below. Click Start, Run, type regedit and press Enter. Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
Value Name: NoViewContextMenu

Data Type: REG_DWORD

Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)

To see the changes you need to do a restart.





2. Disable right click on the Taskbar


If you enable the setting below the menu will not show up when right-clicking on the Start Menu, Tab control, and Clock.


Follow the steps below. Click Start, Run, type regedit and press Enter. Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer]
Value Name: NoTrayContextMenu

Data Type: REG_DWORD

Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)

To see the changes you need to do a restart.

3. Changing the alignment / text alignment in the Drop Down Menu


(Drop down menu = menus that appear when you click the menu File, Edit, Help, etc. pd various Windows applications)


By default, the alignment of the drop down menu is left flat. If

You prefer, you can switch to the right flat.

Follow the steps below. Click Start - Run, type regedit and press Enter.

Here's how:

Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop

Value Name: MenuDropAlignment

Data Type: REG_SZ

Data: (0 = left flat, 1 = flush right)

4. Eliminate the arrows on shortcut


If we make a shortcut from an application or directory surely we will see a small arrow. In terms of appearance, which partially covers the arrow icon is very annoying. 5. Install fonts faster


To install the fonts we usually have to follow a long step: Start> Settings> Control Panel> Fonts. Then from there you must click on File> Install New Fonts. The way it must be very annoying. Actually there is an easier way, namely:

The first way:

1. Open the registry editor.
2. Move to the key "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ TTFFILE \ SHELL".
3. Choose the command "Edit> New> Key" and give it a name

     "Install Fonts" in the new key is placed earlier.
4. Double click on the right window at the entry "(Default)".
5. Give the "Value" of his "Install Font" and confirm this change by clicking "OK".
6. Mark once again subkey "Install Font" and in it the using the command "Edit> New> Key".
7. Create a new subkey called "command".
8. Double click on the "(Default)", give the "Value" of his command
     "C: \ windows \ command \ xcopy32.exe% 1 c: \ windows \ fonts".

Now if you right click on the file *. Ttf Fonts Install menu will appear. If you select this menu, then the font file will be copied into your Windows folder.

The second way:

1. Create a shortcut that points to the font directory on Windows

    You (C: \ Windows \ Fonts).
2. Put a shortcut to the Send To directory.
    Now to install the font, right click on the file *. Ttf,

    select Send To> Fonts.



6. Hide menu Start Menu> Settings> Taskbar

If you re-enable this setting then the menu located on the Taskbar Settings on the Start Menu will be lost.

Follow the steps below. Click Start, Run, type regedit and press Enter. Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
Value Name: NoSetTaskbar


Data Type: REG_DWORD

Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled / hide)





7. Hide menu Start Menu> Settings> Folder Options

If you re-enable this setting then Folder Options menu found on the Start Menu - Settings will be lost.

Follow the steps below. Click Start, Run, type regedit and press Enter. Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
Value Name: NoFolderOptions

Data Type: REG_DWORD

Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled / hide)



8. Hide menu Start Menu> Settings> Control Panel

If you re-enable this setting then the menu located on the Taskbar Settings on the Start Menu will be lost.

Follow the steps below. Click Start, Run, type regedit and press Enter. Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
Value Name: NoControlPanel

Data Type: REG_DWORD

Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled / hide)



9. Hiding the Find menu on the Start Menu


If you enable the following settings, then Find found on the Start Menu will be lost.

Follow the steps below. Click Start, Run, type regedit and press Enter. Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer Value Name: NoFind
Data Type: REG_DWORD

Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)



10. Hide Document menu in the Start Menu


The following settings will hide the folder or document menu found on the Start Menu.

Follow the steps below. Click Start - Run, type regedit and press Enter. Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
Value Name: NoRecentDocsMenu

Data Type: REG_DWORD Data: (0 = disable, 1 = enable)
